Two
case presentations in the morning, and one case presentation in
the afternoon, each followed by a discussion/teaching by Willy
Apollon, Danielle Bergeron and Lucie Cantin.
The
format of the presentations will follow the protocol recently
established in Chicago: The presenters will have sent their texts
and clinical materials to the teachers in advance.
The texts will consist of a brief presentation of the patient
followed by material from four consecutive sessions and a statement
on the work over the four sessions in terms of the patient's problem
and progress made as the work unfolds.

the Family

Presented by Members of the Clinical Team of the Psychoanalytic
Clinic for the Family in Quebec.

- "Organization and Operation of the Clinic."
- "The Clinic's Clients and Results of the Work."
- "A Decisive Clinical Moment: The Challenges for a Couple
when Entering into Parenthood."
- There will be a reception in Beverly Hills on Friday evening
to which you will all be invited. We will organize transportation.
- Also, on Thursday February 10, we can organize a tour of Los
Angeles for those of you interested. This tour could include,
for example, a visit to the famous Watt's Towers, downtown with
the new Disney Hall by Frank Gehry, Hollywood, Griffith Park and
the Observatory or a visit to Venice and Santa Monica Beach. (TBA)

The fee for the clinical day will be $ 50.00.
- The fee for the seminar on psychosis will be $ 115.00 (6 CEU)
- The fee for the family clinic will be $ 75.00. (4 CEU)
- If you attend all three events, the combined pre-registration
fee will be
$ 225.00.

TRANSPORTATION:
Los
Angeles International Airport (LAX) is about 7 miles away from
the conference. While there are various shuttle buses available,
a cab is also a good possibility.
Los
Angeles does not have a very good public transportation system.
Unless you will have a car available, we suggest that you stay
close to the main place of the conference, i.e., the Los Angeles
Psychoanalytic Institute. (Distance to the LAPSI is indicated
if within walking distance.)
